What this site collects, and what it does not. Last changed 16 October 2026.

What we collect

Server logs. When you open a page, our server records the time, your IP address, the page, the page you came from, your browser and its language setting. We keep these logs for eight weeks and use them to see which pages are read and to keep the site secure. To count visits we group page views that share an address and browser within half an hour, under a key that changes every day, so the grouping does not follow you from one day to the next.

The application form. If you apply to create a course, what you type (your name, your email address and your answers) is sent to our mailbox by Web3Forms, the form service, and kept there while we talk to you.

Email. If you write to us, we keep the email for as long as the conversation is live. Links in emails we send may carry a short code, so we can tell which message brought you here.

Lesson progress. The example lessons store your progress and any comments you draft in your own browser, not on our servers. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

What we do not do

No analytics service, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no cookies of our own. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google's servers see a request from your browser when a page loads.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Write to [email protected] first and we will answer within a week.
